Gürtelfrische West

From 8/08/2020 to 08/30/2020 a temporary artificial green space with pool was created at one of the busiest inner-city intersections next to Vienna Westbahnhof, (the central railway station).

This green space was enriched by heri&salli with a dance floor.

Relax and leisure activities as well as gaining traffic related experience both play a roll. The “Gürtelfrische WEST” opens an experimental field of alternative design of city space-social, cultural and infrastructural.

The dance floor in the middle of the existing green strip serves as a platform for different usages and acquisition formats: movement and dance, small concerts, DJ’s sessions, readings or just for individual use.
