The exhibition “AustriArchitektur – Sieben Debüts aus Österreich” in the Aedes Gallery/Berlin shows people/teams and in particular their attitude towards architectural tasks.
The building task itself is not the focus.

heri&salli took on the overall concept of the exhibition design.

The identity of the offices and teams, the rare position of the "lone fighters" - and the still almost non-existent position of the female "lone fighters" - are of interest in all aspects and criteria of the working group: from views, work and design techniques to the formal statement.

About lines,

a structure

and an Atmosphere…

The point of departure for our reflections was the architectural position of the seven different participants, who should present themselves individually and yet within a higher unity. We therefore wanted to work with the the term and idea of “unity” – both in its appearance and in a certain originality as a metaphor in order to understand the different positions.

We faced this task by drawing on different unities such as an egg as the place of organic origin, the geometric affinity of a sphere, or a nest; all of which can include the origin of different possibilities and positions at the limits of the entirety.

The dissolution and thematization of these units and the associated formulations of individual spatial perceptions form the basis for our understanding of network-like architectural conglomerates - not only in the appearance of possible objects, but also in the exchange of positions ..... in the practical, as well as in the theoretical.
